Overview: This ethics training will introduce attendees to the concept and application of ethics as they relate to professional counseling providers. The training will provide basic descriptions of ethics and the need and benefit of ethical responsibilities. We will explore topics such as professional boundaries, dual relationships, confidentiality, and conflict of interest, as they relate to ethical behavior. The importance of understanding the Code of Ethical Conduct, laws, policies and procedures will be solidified through application of the Ethical Decision-Making Process to resolve Ethical Dilemmas presented in specific scenarios.
