Title of presentation: Eating Disorders: Key Insights, Eating Disorders in the Workplace, Management with EAP, and Comorbid Chronic Illnesses
Goals/Objectives:
1. Participants will be able to identify warning signs, red flags, body image and medical complications.
2. Participants will understand the levels of care and when to refer to treatment.
3. Participants will understand what to do/not to do/say and what to do when an employee returns to work after treatment.
Presenter: Tamie Gangloff, MA, MFT
Tamie is an MFT and National Business Development Representative for Healing at Hidden River. She is an adjunct professor at West Chester University teaching Eating Disorder Psychology to graduate and undergraduate students.
Tamie is the Author of: Chronic Illness and Eating Disorders: Assessment, Clinical Skills and Lived Experiences.
She completed her Master’s in Clinical Psychology at Antioch University in Santa Barbara and has worked at all levels of care for eating disorders and substance abuse. She is an advocate with the Eating Disorders Coalition and the Founding President of the Southwest Philly IAEDP chapter. Tamie is the Advisor for Medical Trauma for Root to Branch and a member of the International Society on Scoliosis Orthopedic and Rehabilitation Treatment.
