Kenneth Serviss, QSAP, CEAP, CAC Executive Director: In my current position, I oversee all day-to-day functions of the Allied Trades Assistance Program. I work with all officers to ensure that the functions and the duties of their offices are carried out. I am responsible for assuring that the duties and responsibilities and services of the Program are performed. I also oversee the financial operations of the Program. I promulgate rules and regulations for the handling and processing of the funds of the Program. I implement all patient utilization reviews with treatment facilities in addition to negotiating contracts with these facilities for various services forming a provider network. I also coordinate benefits with the health and welfare funds and adjudicate claims for payment. I act as a gatekeeper for pre-certification as well as a fiduciary to the various health and welfare funds. I develop and coordinate Work/life seminars and consult /coordinate Critical Incident Stress Debriefing services

Marianne Wolfe, LSW, CEAP, Managed Care Supervisor: Evaluate members and their families regarding behavioral health issues, provide face to face and/or telephonic support to discuss present concerns and treatment plan options. Provide support to members for every phase of accessing treatment from referral to treatment, engagement in treatment, stabilization and eventually sustained recovery. Identify emergency or crisis situations and facilitate access to appropriate resources and navigating systems, assist members and providers with benefit questions. complete authorizations for all levels of care, both in or out of network. Complete utilizations reviews for members in treatment including provision of resources for the continuum of care along with assure medical necessity for level of care recommendation. Maintain accurate records in accordance with program standards, provide supervision of staff to ensure compliance with program goals, objectives and standards. Review and management of complaint and grievances, uphold confidentiality during member sessions and phone calls.

Overview of Training:

This training will address current industry challenges related to substance use disorders and mental health. As these challenges continue to evolve, our industry must also adapt. As an Employee Assistance Program, in partnership with treatment facilities, we must refine and update our approaches to ensure we remain aligned with industry standards and best practices.
